brother, I was trapped inside my little design box before we went for those drinks at Eulogy. Since then I have found the motivation of our quickly spreading community intoxicating and inspiring. I plan on being a part of it for a long time coming and extend much thanks to you for introducing me to a much larger, social, and motivational world!

Great dump my friend. I'm really happy that you've chosen to focus your energies on a city that I have good access to and that I can feel the after shocks from all the way up here in the Northeast. In fact, you've stirred Viddler as a company to want to actually change locations in the future and try to be as big a part of the community as possible.

Thanks for your inspiration and hard work. The road is long. But you're finished walking it yourself. You now have a lot of friends walking along side of you. And I am one of them.

It's crazy looking back at all this and realizing how much has happened in so little time. Thanks for the recap, and even more than that, thanks for the energy you've poured into the community. It never ceases to amaze me how much of it you seem to have!

Now go take a few days off, dude.

Glad I got a chance to say hello at the Triumph event. I was floored by the amount of stuff going on in Philadelphia, and everything that you've got going on. I look forward to keeping tabs on it all from down here in Atlanta.

    Alex,
You know my feeling about this. This whole community came along at the right time for a lot of us and you started the party. For all that .... THANK YOU .

    Great post!
We've got such a great community here in Philly, and even better, more people interested in becoming a part of it. Through Indy.org, you make it possible for people to meet up reularly and kep the conversation going. Through BlogPhiladelphia and hopefully PodCamp Philly, we'll bring new people into the fold, and introduce our local community to others, widening our impact.
I'm thrilled to see Philly really coming into its own in the rhelm of New Media, and I'm glad we're getting over the "Don't talk to strangers" thing Phila seems so good at- the Main Line manners that can get in the way of exploring what's new and exciting.

    Love it!

I have a 4' x 6' whiteboard in my living room.....totally know the feeling. I just need one for the shower now. =)

Ok, finally sat down and read this short novel. I can't believe it how far we've come in such a short time! And thank god for Brian Oberkirch! I love the momentum we have but being an overachiever, I can't stop myself from thinking ahead to making our community bigger...more prevalent on the national scene. We have what SF has. We have the community I could never find in NYC because everyone was either too busy or too segmented. This is it. This is our time. I'm stoked to be a part of it.

Great story Alex. Keep up the good work. Sounds a lot like something I was in way back in the mid-90's one night at the Sam Adams brew pub. ;-)
