Almost like netflix is an online library for movies, where you can check them in and out as you need, it would be great to have a place where i could look up a textbook, make sure it was the right edition, and take it out for only as long as i needed it. Textbooks for higher education are EXORBITANTLY expensive. Why not distribute that cost among a number of users and make quality textbooks more accessible to students?

Re: Facebook F8 – Find your niche, make it worthwhile

Alex, I enjoyed your post. What do you mean by a Netflix for textbooks?

Re: Facebook F8 – Find your niche, make it worthwhile

Alex, Thanks for the mention and the ideas. I agree with your points about F8. They offer some great flexibility, but I am not sure about the long-term implications. Although, that is actually the fun part about social networks. You never know where your users will take the tools that you have provided. I was never a big Facebook fan, but within the last six months their strategy and refinements have really grown on me.
